The short version
The numbers you type into our calculators never leave your device. All calculations run in your browser. We have no accounts, no sign-up, and no database of user inputs.
Who we are
Freelance Money Tools (freelancemoneytools.com) is operated as a free informational calculator site for US freelancers. Contact: contact@freelancemoneytools.com. See also our data sources & methodology.
What we collect
Calculator inputs: nothing. Inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never transmitted to our servers.
Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0KBW2PKPKR) to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate country/region, device type, browser, and referral source. IP addresses are anonymized in GA. Analytics data is not linked to calculator inputs or any account (we don't have accounts). Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of GA with Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security, DDoS protection, and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to reconstruct calculator inputs.

Each provider processes data under its own terms. We choose providers that minimize collection relative to running a public website.
Advertising
We may display Google AdSense ads in the future to keep the site free. Ad providers may use cookies or similar technologies as described in their own policies. You can learn about Google's use of data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Ads never see the numbers you type into a calculator.
Cookies & similar technologies
Calculators work without cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga to distinguish sessions. Ad and analytics partners may set additional cookies when their scripts load. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features (measurement, personalized ads) may be limited if you do.
Retention
We do not store calculator inputs. Analytics retention follows Google Analytics account settings (typically 2–14 months for event-level data). Cloudflare security logs are kept for a short operational window and not used for marketing profiles.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
California & other US state privacy rights
Because we do not sell personal information and do not maintain accounts, we generally have little identifiable data to access or delete. California residents may contact us at contact@freelancemoneytools.com with privacy requests. We will respond within a reasonable time.
International visitors
The site is intended for users in the United States researching US tax and freelance pricing. If you visit from outside the US, your data may be processed in the United States by our hosting and analytics providers.
Your rights
Since we don't hold personal data about you beyond what third-party analytics or hosting logs may process, there is usually nothing for us to delete or export directly. For any privacy question, email contact@freelancemoneytools.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted prominently.
